Hyperbole and a Half references! But seriously, folks, there’s a right way and a wrong way to react when you name a band and someone says, “I’ve never heard anything by them.” The right way is to recommend some songs, or even ask what kind of music they like and tailor your recommendations to their tastes (if you want to get fancy). The wrong way is to call them a disgrace, tell them they aren’t a music nerd, or insult them or their tastes. You aren’t exactly changing anything by saying that.

I submitted this to the blog after the admin got a lot of anon hate for the bands they like. It was all insults like I cataloged above, rather than people actually recommending anything.
